Edinburgh-based band Redolent are brothers Danny and Robin Herbert alongside drummer Andrew Turnbull and bassist Robbie White who tease sonic modes evocative of the contingent of bands that have put Scotland’s music scene on the global map. Leaning into their namesake – of being strongly reminiscent of something (or a sweet-smelling fragrance) – they court traits of their predecessors whilst coaxing a sound that is close to a perfect hybrid of dance and rock, connecting the dots between the future and the past. Their debut single ‘make big money fast online now’ is out now.
